Team Leader – Night Shift Operations

Are you ready to lead one of our most critical operational teams?

As our Night Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and operational management of our night shift operation, ensuring that customer deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager and become part of the site’s leadership team.

As we operate in a GDP-regulated environment, compliance, quality, traceability, and continuous improvement are fundamental to everything we do.

About the Role

The Night Shift operation is responsible for the complete handling of outbound shipments, including picking, packing, and final distribution.

You will lead a team of approximately 10 employees, consisting of both full-time and part-time staff from many different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

Working closely with the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure that staffing levels, operational flow, capacity planning, and daily priorities support an efficient, compliant, and high-performing operation.

As Team Leader, you are responsible for both people leadership and operational excellence. You will create an engaging working environment while continuously improving processes, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for the daily execution of the night shift operation

• Leading, coaching, motivating, and developing employees

• Ownership of operational processes and continuous process improvements

• Ensuring compliance with GDP requirements, internal procedures, and quality standards

• Investigating operational deviations, incidents, and quality-related issues

• Monitoring and improving KPIs and operational performance

• Planning staffing, capacity, and operational resources

• Driving productivity, service quality, and delivery reliability

• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee development together with HR

• Implementing new processes, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborating closely with day shift management and support functions to ensure an efficient end-to-end operation

• Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements

• Producing products on scooter with the team

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced and visible leader who enjoys creating results through people and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

We expect that you:

• Have proven people management experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similar operational environments

• Are a hands-on leader who enjoys working close to the operation and your employees

• Have experience with KPI management and performance management

• Can maintain structure and overview in a complex operation with many simultaneous activities

• Have experience working with shift-based operations and hourly-paid employees

• Are data-driven and possess some IT skills

• Communicate clearly and are able to create engagement and commitment across the organisation

• Remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment

• Enjoy working with colleagues from different nationalities and cultures

• Lead by example and are willing to go the extra mile when required

• Have excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail

• Are fluent in both English (the company’s operational language) and Danish, both written and spoken

Experience working within a GDP-regulated or pharmaceutical logistics environment will be considered an advantage but is not essential.

Working Hours

This is a permanent full-time night shift position.

You will work six days per week according to a fixed roster.

Scheduled working hours are from 01:30 AM to 07:00 AM.

Flexibility is expected during periods of high operational demand, employee absences, vacations, or other business requirements.
