About the position

Saji is looking for an experienced full-time waiter to join the front-of-house team.

You should genuinely enjoy taking care of people, work well during busy services and be comfortable taking responsibility for your section.

About Saji

Saji was founded in December 2022 by Samuel and Jimmy, two best friends who met at culinary school more than a decade ago.

Since then, they have shared a love of cooking and a strong belief in how food can bring people together.

Through Saji, they want to share the warmth and flavours of their homeland, Sumatra, with Copenhagen — and help make the city’s food scene a little more diverse and a little spicier.

Saji is built on good energy, genuine smiles and simple, honest Indonesian food. We are an international team that values kindness, teamwork and a strong sense of togetherness.

Your responsibilities

• Welcome and look after guests throughout their dinner

• Take responsibility for your section during service

• Guide guests through the food and drinks menu

• Explain our dishes and ingredients clearly

• Keep a good overview and communicate closely with the kitchen, bar and floor team

• Help with daily preparation, opening and closing tasks

We are looking for someone who

• Has good knowledge and understanding of Asian flavours

• Has previous experience as a waiter in a full service restaurant

• Has a genuine love for hospitality and great service

• Is friendly, reliable and able to stay calm under pressure

• Is willing to master our menu and product knowledge, including Indonesian names and terms for dishes, ingredients and cooking techniques

• Is able to communicate effectively in English

• Has wine and cocktail knowledge — a plus, but a big smile and good energy matter even more
